The Sea Goddess

I dance by the shores of the golden sea

Cast yellow and gold by the rising sun.

I fly with the gusts of the blowing wind

Up and down like a tampered yarn.

My strokes elongate to touch the skies

By night, they shrink into a soft gloomy beam

The sun and the moon – two faces of my being

But a single heart palpitating within my impalpable soul.

Take Me With You

Take Me with You, to the moon and back, as we cross the deep celestial ocean.

Take Me with You, around the world and beyond, as we leave our footprints on the soft fabrics of the earth.

Hold onto my hands and never let them go

else the wind blows me away or the tides whisk me off

And you wait for my return as the days turn into years.

Take Me with You, around the dance of fire, as we gaze into each other with fervent, glinting eyes.

Take Me with You, as we soar among the clouds and towards the ends of the earth – a hazy, silver outline.

Let us fade into the sands of the wintry desert

and inhale the soothing fragrance of ice-capped mounts

We will sit by a campfire under the bottomless sky

A violet curtain sprinkled with ivory stars,

as bright as the ones in your quiescent, lucid eyes.

Yearning For Home, A Place Where I Aspire To Belong

I wish to travel the whole world, traversing the expanse of its width.

I wish to live under the shades of ancient trees while roaming among solitary hills.

I wish to bask myself in the gleam of the falling sunset just to spread my wings so that I could soar across the heavens

until I find a place called home among the solitude of nature–

where the mountains would welcome me with the scent of freshly laden snow and the wind’s whistle and the river’s roar would collide into tranquil symphony.
